True to its name, guests will delight in the beautiful horse-themed accents and equestrian tack used to give Horsetrail Lodge its distinctive ranch feel. You will also enjoy discovering the subtle recurrence of another of Horsetrails decor themes, mischievous but cuddly raccoons. According to the homeowner, in the end, it was not the craftsmanship or mountain views that sold her on Horsetrail Lodge; it was the hand-carved raccoon on the Lodges front door! Inspired by their love of the door, the homeowners carried the raccoon theme throughout the homeeven including it the relaxing haven of their large master bed and bath, with its private deck and garden tub.
Horsetrail Lodge has wraparound porches, with access on each level and large glass doors and windows that are perfect for gazing over the fall foliage. Beary Sweet's impressive stacked rock, wood-burning fireplace invites guests to cuddle up inside and enjoy their stay, but with so much to do outside it's hard to remain indoors! There are countless hiking trails, one in particular that is a favorite of the owners, winds down the mountains to a stunning waterfall. Also, there are several ATV routes to explore, and don't forget the whitewater rafting and horseback riding that is just minutes away. The beautiful cabin is perched on a mountain top in Bullen Gap, with views of mountain vistas that stretch for miles. Bear Hollows design enables visitors to truly soak up the breathtaking surroundings and lush natural landscape. The cabin is equipped with a picnic table and rockers on its spacious upper level porch, and a unique double porch swing and hot tub on the terrace level.
Inside Bear Hollow, guests will find it easy to relax in complete comfort by nestling into a plush easy chair with a warm cup of cocoa or stretching out in front of the cabin's crackling fireplace. The cabin is tastefully decorated with traditional lodge decor and nature-inspired accents. Guests at Bear Hollow get the mountain lodge atmosphere, without being overwhelmed by rustic-themed decoration. There are plenty of places in Bear Hollow to find a little peace and quiet, but there are areas favorable to lively competition and conversation as well!
